Basic Requirement: Orientation  (One meeting) 6pm – Held the first Tuesday of the month of February, April, June, and September.
Attending an orientation is required to sign up for classes.

Orientation Meeting
TUESDAY 6:00PM - 8PM
First-class meeting – limit 8 students, minimum 2 students
A basic review of the station, equipment, and policies and procedures. Learn the background of the behind the scene workings of how to make a television show for air.

Basic Field Production
TUESDAY 6:00PM - 8PM
First-class meeting – limit 8 students, minimum 2 students
A basic overview of the television production process will be discussed. Hands on instruction using the Panasonic vx1000 and Canon Gl2 for basic field production. Includes instruction on tripod use, external mics, and headphones. Also includes instruction in shot composition and basic interview techniques.

Basic Studio Production
TUESDAY 6:00PM - 8PM
Second class meeting - limit 8 students, minimum 2 students 
A basic, technical overview of the WCAC-TV studio. Hands on experience in all crew positions. Includes director, technical director, host, cameraperson, audio board and teleprompter. Basic lighting, audio, and basic graphic design will be covered.

Final Cut Pro
BY APPOINTMENT
You may book a 2 hour time block anytime Monday-Wednesday from 12-8pm. First come first served. You may sign up by contacting me via e-mail matt@wcac.org Step by step instruction on the basics of non-linear digital editing. Includes the importance of file management. Instructor will guide you through the process of editing a project. Learn the interface and become familiar with basic operations including capturing video, assembling clips, trimming clips, adding transitions, basic titles, saving and exporting your project.
You may use your own video as class material.
