A teen allegedly shot at someone he knew around 5:30 p.m. Monday near Moody Street and Railroad Avenue, according to Waltham Police.

No one was hurt and the incident was isolated, not random.

Police responded to reports of gunfire and found two males on scene. A WPD spokesman declined to say where they were from.

A 17-year-old suspect, who was not identified, was arrested and has been charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and firearms offenses.

Because the incident occurred near state-owned railroad tracks, Massachusetts State Police and MBTA Police also responded to the scene, WPD said.

 

The incident remains under investigation.
