Kaire Holman, 31, of Quincy, was arraigned on a murder charge on September 3 in Waltham District Court in connection with the fatal shooting of Zharia Wilcox-Ellis, 24, of Waltham, on August 2.

Holman is the second person to be charged in connection with the killing.

In early August, Wilcox-Ellis' partner, Melanie Williams, 30, was charged with assaulting her shortly before she was found shot to death in a parking lot adjacent to The Wright apartment building.

In court Tuesday, Middlesex Assistant District Attorney Robert Royce characterized Melanie Williams and Kaire Holman as “co-conspirators.”
